// OPS_COMPANION FIELD MANUAL

The Sales role owns the revenue generation side of OPS Companion — building and managing quotes, maintaining client relationships, tracking opportunities through the pipeline, and using the optional 3D Viewer to demo equipment to prospects. Sales can see financial data relevant to their pipeline; they have no access to operational modules, employee data, or fleet positions.

The Sales interface is designed for both office and field use — clean and professional for client-facing moments, deep and functional for pipeline management.

Quote Pipeline

Sales creates and manages quotes through the full Quotation module pipeline. They can build line-item quotes, send them with automated email delivery, and track client engagement (viewed, time spent on page, signature status).

Line-item editor with parts, labour, travel, and custom items. Tax auto-applied (QST + GST).

PIPELINE VIEW

Kanban view of all quotes by stage — Draft through Accepted. Filter by client, value, or date.

CLIENT ENGAGEMENT

See when a client opened the quote email, how long they spent reviewing, and any rejection reason.

FOLLOW-UP TOOLS

Automated reminder emails at configurable intervals. Manual follow-up notes logged per quote.

CLONE & REVISE

Clone a declined quote and adjust pricing or scope — zero re-entry of repeated fields.

ACCEPTANCE TRIGGER

On client signature, Sales sees the real-time status change and can begin the next opportunity.

Client Repository

Sales has read access to the full client repository — every client site, contact, machine in their fleet, and service history. This context enables Sales to understand a prospect's existing equipment and position service contracts intelligently.

  • Client sites with GPS coordinates and machine inventory

3D Machine Demonstrations (Add-On)

With the 3D Viewer add-on, Sales can launch a client-facing demo mode that shows an interactive 3D model of any machine in the catalog. The demo mode has a clean branded interface — no OPS Companion operational chrome, no pricing visible — designed for tablet or large-screen presentations to prospects.

DEMO MODE
In demo mode, the 3D viewer shows machine features, part labels, and service points. Pricing is hidden. The client-facing view can be projected or shared via a screen link — no account required on the client side.
